PRACTISING AS A LAWYER • To be a legal practitioner you need: • Academic law degree (LLB or JD) • Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice (GDLP) • Admission to the Supreme Court of Victoria • A Practising Certificate from the Legal Services Board; and • Annual Continuing Professional Development compliance (CLE/CPD) • NB: an alternative pathway to PLT exists in VIC

  12. COURSEWORK COMPONENT • 15 WeeksFull Time • 30 WeeksPart Time OR • Online timetable to help schedule your work • Access to lecturers by phone, email or face-to-face • 2015 Course Fee $8,560 (domestic) • FEE-HELP Available

TIPS FOR FAST TRACKING • Secure work experience in final 2 years of study e.g. Government bodies, community legal centres, chambers, private practice • Register any previous work experience undertaken in final 2 years of law degree.
