  1. US Registered Agents: A Few Things You Must Know Forming a corporation is not an easy task. Along with registering with the Secretary of State and various other agencies, you have to make sure that you are in complement with the law. For that you’ll need, you'll need a US registered agent to meet the terms with various state regulations for registering the corporation. A US registered agent is a person who is in a state where the corporation is being formed. It is the agent who will receive service of process and various other documents on the behalf of the entrepreneur.
