At its height the British Empire covered a fifth of the World’s land mass. The growth of the British Empire was largely due to Britain’s success at trading with other countries.

Britain to Africa World’s land mass. The growth of the British Empire was largely due to Britain’s success at trading with other countries.

The things exported from Britain to Africa are metal goods, textiles and guns.

The British then traded these items for slaves, they would get about 30,000 slaves a year.
