  9. Chaperones: We need you! We need moms and grandparents. We especially need DADS to chaperone boys’ rooms, though we will use moms to cover boys’ rooms as needed. “Quad” rate for rooms means limited flexibility for requests PLEASE AVOID SPECIAL ROOMING REQUESTS Our primary goal - a chaperone for every room Also important - fun for everyone Make sure you register to volunteer at: https://www.cmsvolunteers.com/volunteer.php?newflag=1
  10. Fundraising: General fund - Fall Festival Bingo Nights Family Dances Smencils/Candy/Hot Chocolate Sponsorships/Letter writing campaign to area businesses

  12. Business Fundraising: Many businesses will donate! Last year the management at River Gate Shopping Center and Komet each made sizable donations to our trip.
  13. Due Dates: Gotta have them! Make your decision about whether or not you’re going to go by January 31st. After that date, we are closing the trip, no exceptions. We’ll work with everyone to get your child there. Talk to your child’s teacher or Mrs. Godfrey specifically if a scholarship is necessary.
  14. Payment Collection Dates: Easy(ish) Payment plan Students and chaperones must pay. Cash or money orders only. No personal checks accepted. Payment dates are as follows: Friday, January 31 - $60 deposit due to reserve spot. Friday, February 28- $60 payment due Friday, March 28 - $60 payment due Friday, May 2 – Balance due

  16. Electronics: Let’s Avoid Distractions! Be respectful – off or on silent in museums. Chaperones will carefully monitor cell phone usage and discourage excessive texting. Personal devices– iPod touch and personal gaming systems – allowed for bus and bed time. Your child is responsible for the technology he/she brings.
  17. Medication: Make sure the plan is in place! Make sure medications are prepared for the trip. Discuss administration with teacher/chaperone prior to departure.
