MILES 2000 Force on Force Training • MILES is an acronym for Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System. • MILES is used in conjunction with your firearms fitted with a blank firing attachment • When the blank is fired it causes the laser transmitter to emit a coded laser beam. • When the coded laser beam hits a player wearing the MILES harness it activates an alarm to indicate a lethal hit or wound.
MILES 2000 Force on Force Training • The coded laser beam is recorded in the Events Data Recorder on the harness. • The events are downloaded into a computer and the results are printed out for all to review. • The AAR records number of shots fired, who shot who and when. Also indicates fratricide.
MILES 2000 Trainee: Not provided • The Equipment The Head Band: Can be worn with helmet or soft hat The Manworn Harness: Records the laser beam hit and emits an alarm when hit. Laser Transmitter: Is activated when the blank is fired. Is fitted on to the barrel of the firearm. No special tools are needed.
