Juila is taken back by Maria’s remark and believes she has no reason to feel like that. 6. The PLOT is the main idea or series of events. The THEME is the lesson learned or hidden message. 7. Maria believes that she should be the one to go because Juila’s baby is still too young and they do not have enough money for milk. Maria also can communicate in English better than Juila.
