  1. My name is Jackie Jones. I am a business education teacher for grades 9-12. I currently teach Computer Education, Recordkeeping, and Accounting. • My web address is http:ctap295.ctaponline.org/~jones • My e-mail address is jacqueline.jones@pusd.org • This lesson plan is designed for use in any business class. Students will gain increased knowledge in research techniques, writing skills, and mathematical computations.

  2. Standards Addressed • Career Preparation and Job Acquisition-explore career opportunities • Financial Concepts-compute cost, profit, and returns on different types of investments

  3. Standards Addressed • Functions of Business-management, marketing, production and research and development • Technology-utilize a variety of software programs to manipulate information and produce data; develop and produce presentations utilizing electronic media and printed documents

  4. Learning Outcomes • Download pictures from the internet, saving them to a floppy, and inserting the pictures onto my web page. • Create links and targets within my web page • Create links to other web sites.

  5. Successes • Student research of the company along with obtaining a product sample went well with the students. • Students developed sound conclusions based on their research for their corporation

  6. Shortcomings • Student participation was not as high as I had anticipated.

  8. To increase student participation I will include some lessons that will spark interest in researching a company. I will include more links on my pages. Reflections and Revisions

  9. By developing a standards-based lesson, my lesson was student-centered and focused on facilitating the learning process of my students. • I will continue to create standard-based lessons that integrate technology and support the academic program of Ganesha High School.
