Do we still get the match, and if not, why would we invest any excess amount in this fund?

  10. Specific Questions (continued) • What if we have an emergency and need these funds? Do the funds have to stay in the CCCSE fund forever? • Who set the fundraising goals for us? • How can we raise funds for this if we don’t have the capacity or have too many other fundraising demands with too few staff?

  15. Key Messages • Your gift is matched 50 cents on the dollar – for example, a gift of $100,000 becomes $150,000 and results in a minimum of 7 scholarships for students in need, in perpetuity. • Be part of history by providing scholarships to CCC students in greatest financial need, initiated by the largest gift ever made to the community college system.

  16. Key Messages (continued) • An investment in CA’s CCs will promote academic achievement, make college possible for students throughout the state, and ultimately lead to a stronger workforce that meets the demands of the new world economy. • 100% percent of your donation goes directly to fund scholarships – no administrative fees are charged (this is based on FCCC’s practices and not reflective of what a CCC may charge) • Contributing to the overall goal of creating a $100M permanent endowment provides scholarships for a minimum of 5,000 CCC students each year, forever.
