  2. Summary • The LCLS2sc beam will be switched between the SXR, HXR and dump lines by means of a fast vertical RF deflector (kicker) and a 3-hole horizontal Lambertson septum magnet. • The spreader bend magnets generate dispersion and R56.These are canceled by adding quadrupoles to the spreader optics. The quadrupoles can be also used for R56 tuning. • SXR spreader is a 4-bend horizontal chicane with quadrupoles. • HXR spreader is a 4-bend horizontal and vertical dogleg with quadrupoles. The two outer bends are horizontal, and the two inner bends are rolled for providing both X and Y bending. • Dump lineis a vertical and horizontal dogleg with quadrupoles. It also provides optics for energy measurement. • Vertical orbit and dispersion generated by the vertical deflector (kicker) are cancelled by 2 vertical dipole correctors placed in each of the SXR and HXR lines downstream of the septum.

  10. Modified LCLS-1 optics in BSY • LCLS-1 BSY optics is changed to FODO using 6 existing quads for a lower b-function • Quads are placed outside of the divergent and biconcave chambers, so the chambers may not need to be removed D10 HXR divergent chamber biconcave chamber muon wall
