Faculty SenateThe Faculty Arm of Shared Governance at KSU - Is a representative body consisting of ninety two senators who are elected on a proportionate basis from each of the nine colleges of the university and from members of the university’s professional staff. - It has four standing committees with members drawn from across the full Senate’s membership and an Executive Committee comprised of the Officers of the Senate and representatives from each college and the general university caucus. Traditionally, the faculties of colleges and universities have control of all matters dealing with the courses and curricula to be offered by the institution, and the granting of degrees. These powers are subject to final approval by the Board of Regents.

The general faculty of Kansas State University also has the authority to participate in the establishment of policies for the supervision and control of student affairs, faculty affairs, and public relations.
