  1. INTENSIVE COOLING INSTALLATION

  2. Intensive Cooling Installation

  3. Function & objectives • Constant core temperatures regardless of product diameter • Direct packaging after the cooling process • Safe process control • Reduction of process times • Decreasing weight loss • Fast cooling for less contamination

  4. Basic data • Processes Showering Cold air cooling (approx. +1°C air temperature) Cooking (cooking facility available as an option) • Products Packed products Products in natural casing Big caliber products 2 rows of products lying one above the other or trolleys with many layers Presstower

  5. Benefits • Top energy efficiency • Absolute consistency in processes & products • Captivating quality • Outstanding hygiene Summary ofbenefits

  6. Benefits • Highly-insulated chamber with 82 mm-thick chamber elements insulated with CFC-free hard polyurethane foam reduces heat loss by up to 40 % compared to walls insulated with rockwool • A high rate of air circulation with a cooling capacity of 13 kW per trolley results in very short throughput times, enabling the products to go straight to packing. The number of areas, cooling chambers and smoking products required can thus be reduced • Significant water saving as a result of environmentally-friendly ice-water shower in the refrigeration circuit with water cooler, filter and collecting tank. The ice-water shower is available as an option • Rapid cooling times guarantee reduced loss of water and therefore of weight Top energyefficiency

  7. Benefits • The tried and tested air change flap system achieves dynamic air circulation which generates the same qualities as conventional horizontal flow systems even on products which are lying flat. This means the installation can be used for products which are both lying and hanging • Rapid, even cooling leads to shorter process times and thus to a higher product throughput rate • Weight losses are reduced compared to conventional installations as a result of dynamic air flow around the product Absolute consistency in processes & products

  8. Lying & hanging products Flexibility, individuality & absolute consistency

  9. Benefits • The installation can be dismantled and can thus be used in a different location • 82 mm-thick walls achieve a stable construction Captivatingquality

  10. Benefits • Minimal cleaning effort for cooling areas, smoke trolleys and accessories • Small window of opportunity for bacteria, as the critical temperature range of +40 °C to+15 °C is passed through quickly • The central air-conditioning unit provides ideal conditions for simple cleaning • Optional components such as a sterilization facility and fresh air filter improve hygiene • Combined cooling with cold air and water increases cooling rates, as a higher rate of cold transmission is achieved Outstanding hygiene

  11. Chamber elements 82 mm-thick chamber elements insulated with CFC-free The base of the chamber is shaped like a tray Hard polyurethane foam

  12. Design • Chamber design single-row two-row

  13. Air flow Dynamic circulationtoachievegreatconsistency

  14. Process scheme

  15. Options • Cooking facility • Cold water circulation system • Door variants • Fully automatic CIP System • Automatic floor conveyor • Automatic conveying of suspended trolleys • Type of cooling medium (ammonia, Freon or glycol) • Central Managing and Documentation System (LDS) • Ethernet connection Different optionsfor individual design

  16. Cold water circulation system • An energy-saving recycling system for packed products in water-impermeable casings, in which cold shower water is conditioned and returned to the process • The system is not suitable for • Cooking processes • Open products • Using low drains Energysavingsolution

  17. Cold water circulation system - Cleaning • Pipework(rinsing) • Tank(manual, lance) • Chamber(automatic cleaning possible) Hygienicsolution

  18. Door variants • Fully-automatic rising/falling door • Rolling doors • Transit design • An automatic door opener ensures that the chamber is ventilated after the process and that water drains out of the installation chamber

  19. Automatic conveying of suspended trolleys • As an alternative option to the automatic conveying of floor running trolleys, we also offer automatic conveying of suspended trolleys
