  2. Pre- Seminar Planning Stage • Limit your chosen topic • Formulate objectives • Make an outline of discussion • Have an alternatives in case of snags • Make sure to achieve the rubric’s criteria

Consider factors such as the ff. • Location - decide on a suitable venue to hold your seminar • Audience – must be the target of the seminar • Speaker – should be knowledgeable and expert • Time – choose a perfect time to conduct the seminar • Expenses - calculate the minimum number of participants that you need in order to break even.

  4. Tools You Need In Conducting A Seminar • Microphones • Speakers • Projectors • Handbooks • Internet Access • Electricity

  5. Slide Preparation • Choose the right font size a. use 24 point font for text b. use 32 point font for list of points c. use 40-48 point font for titles

  6. 2. Choose the right color a.  Make sure you use good contrasting colors. For example, Blue on Black is a terrible combination as is  Yellow on white.  b. Use light background for overhead presentations but dark backgrounds for slides and on-screen presentations. c. Keep in mind that about 7% of the male population have some form of Red Green color blindness.

  7. 3. Don’t put too much information on a slide 4. Use animation only when required

  8. During the Seminar • Make sure you are well prepared with handouts, your presentation and other tools and equipment such as projectors etc. • Facilitate registration, acceptance of fees etc. • Begin your seminar on time. • Once the seminar is prepared, relax!! Most of the work is done.

  9. Post- Seminar • Conduct an open forum to entertain questions from the audience • Provide evaluation form for the audience to evaluate the seminar

  10. Remember: A successful seminar is the result of careful preparation of your speech and your presentation material.
