  2. Who are we? Within the School Services and Training Channel, the Special Initiative Service unit strives to proactively identify the unique needs of Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Hispanic Serving institutions, and Tribally controlled colleges.

  3. Examples of Services Provided • Technical assistance in programmatic and administrative areas • Provide customized training that is developed to meet the unique needs of the institution

  4. Examples of Services Provided • Assists institutions in performing on-/off-campus assessments and if warranted, the development of corrective action plans

  5. Basic Guiding Principles of Assistance • We are here to help! • We are not program reviewers or auditors • Our emphasis is self- initiated institutional self-improvement
