  1. The Red StarTexas A&M University-Corpus ChristiE.T.L. Extra-Terrestrial Life

  2. Targeted Audience • Capitalize on the fundamental nature of the discovery, aim at all age groups and reach the broadest audience possible • The nature of the possible discovery requires that all be included in the quest

  3. Strategy • To appeal to a broad audience, and to accentuate the extraordinary nature of the discovery: • The first narrator is a 5-7 year old child asking “ Are we alone?” • The age of the subsequent narrators increases throughout the storyboard, with the last narrator being in his late 70’s asking “ Do you believe? “

  4. Strategy • The narrators not only vary by age, but also their accents are selected from all over the World • Showing views of the different planets and moons reinforces the necessity to seek a general answer to the question of what is life and travel to the most likely locations where life could be found • The final view of the Solar Systems is there to reinforce the sense of human community and universality of the quest

  5. General Campaign • The campaign should place the quest as an international endeavor led by the United States of America • Throughout the campaign use a broad sample of ages and ethnicities for the narrators

  6. Are They Alone?
