  1. Development in Tyre Technology

  2. Introduction Around a decade ago, tyres were not too much complex. But, In the last few years tyre manufacturers have been developing completely new concept in tire construction. These updates will make tyres more durable, highly performed and safer product.

  3. Pneumatic Tyres The basic ingredients of Pneumatic Tyres are rubber, carbon black and various chemicals. A drum is used to construct a tyre and then it is cured in a press under heat and pressure. However, different manufacturers has their own combinations of materials.

  4. Digital Tyres A tyre manufacturing company Pirelli is testing their new tyre technology "Digital Tyres" on the Ferrari Fxx K super car. This technology will collect the data about footprint, coefficient of friction and movement grade.

  5. Self-inflating Tech. 1. The internal regulator allow air flow into the pumping tube in low pressure. 2. This point is responsible for pushing the air through the tyre to the inlet value. 3. By this point, the air flows into the tyre cavity and tyre will become fully optimized.

  6. Airless Tyres A tyre manufacturing company Hankook is testing a tyre design which do not require air. This is known as 'iFlex' technology. These tyres are made up of Eco-friendly materials.
