  4. What is it bipolar ? Bipolar disorder is one of the mental illness that mean strong shifts or changes in the moods. Which refer to the brain imbalance because of the way brain cells contact with each other.(2008,P17)

Terminologies(Oliver,2012) • Chronic= for long periods of time. • Delusions= to the belief in false ideas. • Hallucinations= Seeing or hearing things that are not there. • Hyperactivity= A higher than normal level of activity. • Insomnia=Inability to sleep. • ECT= It is an electric current which used as treatment.

  11. Professionals (Segal ,2012) • Doctors: • Psychological sessions. • Medication. • Parents and School: • Learn about bipolar disorder. • Encourage the person to get help. • Don’t take any comments personally. • Patient with bipolar: • Manage stress. • Accept your own limits. • Communicate.

  12. Treatment.. Bipolar disorder requires lifelong treatment, even during periods when you feel better. Treatment is usually guided by a psychiatrist skilled in treating the condition. With a help from psychologists, social workers and psychiatric nurses. The main treatments for bipolar disorder contain medications; individual, group or family psychological counseling (psychotherapy); or education and support groups. (Mayo Clinic staff)

Teachers , parents and other professionals should work in cooperative to help student. • 4.Good management to resolve problems in class. • Suggestion • Small class size. • Communicate between home and school. • Be sure to make scheduling includes planned and unplanned breaks. • Make table for students to do their work in time. • reduce homework or give them time to deadline their work when energy is low. • Unlimited a access to drink water and to the bathroom.

Medications There are a number of medications are used to treat bipolar disorder. -Lithium:is effective at stabilizing mood and preventing the extreme highs and lows of certain categories of bipolar disorder and has been used for many years. -Anticonvulsants -Antipsychotics -Antidepressants. And a lot of other medication

Electroconvulsive therapy(ECT): Electroconvulsive therapy can be effective for people who have episodes of severe depression or feel suicidal or people who haven't seen improvements in their symptoms despite other treatment. With ECT, electrical currents are passed through your brain. Researchers don't fully understand how ECT works. But it's thought that the electric shock causes changes in brain chemistry that leads to improvements in your mood.

  16. IEPfor bipolar disorder. The IEP meeting is attended by members of the Child study team which usually includes a social worker, a psychologist, a learning specialist, and your child's teachers and therapists. Parents are always to be included in IEP meetings • IEP stands for (Individualized Education Program) . "Individualized Education Plan, • This is a legally binding document that spells out exactly what special education services your child will receive and why. • The individualized part of IEP means that the plan has to be tailored specifically to your child's special needs not to the needs of the teacher, or the school, or the district. Goals, modifications, accommodations, personnel, placement, all should be selected, according to the child's need. http://bipolarchild.com/resources/model-iep/
