  2. What is an EFT? • An EFT (also called a virtual field trip) is an interactive educational experience that makes the rich content of our nation’s parks and museums available to kids.

  3. Different Aspects of an EFT • It can be live or can be saved on a personal computer to utilize at an appropriate time. • Most EFT sources give clear detailed instructions in incorporating an EFT in the classroom

  4. Different Aspects of an EFT (cont.) • EFTs provide opportunities and experiences that are similar to those of traditional field trips: • Exposure to “real” people and events • A compelling context for required school subjects • An opportunity to make connections with others.

  6. How Do I Find My Field Trip? • Open Internet Explorer • Open you favorite search engine (I like Google) • Type electronic+field+trip+(use a keyword that correlates with your subject, topic, or theme)
