  5. Supply& Demand There is a significant shortage ofmedical and recreational cannabis both domestically andinternationally. Health Canada has confirmed thatedibles will be permitted for legal sales no later than October 17, 2019. According to a recent report by Deloitte, the Canadian edibles and infused products industry is estimated to be worth $2.7 billion a year. Consumers in the United States and Canada combined are expected tospend $4.1 billion annually (ArcViewMarket Research,2019).
