Code of Conduct Committee Updates Page 74 – Behavior/Discipline Person – Added “principal designee” to the discipline person Page 76 – Disciplinary Consequences – Added “recess” to detention (Elementary) and to the Elementary Level I, II, and III Discipline Charts Page 78 – Responsibilities-Campus Administrators – Updated wording “Review guidelines and discipline procedures to students and staff related to the Board-approved Student Handbook and Code of Conduct” Page 79 – Disciplinary Procedures for Students with Disabilities – Reworded this section to reflect Board Policy concerning holding Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDRs) for Special Education (ARD) or Section 504 students.

Code of Conduct Committee Updates Page 80 and 90 – Level I Elementary #14 and Level I High #13 – Updated wording for consistency on All Level I charts – Cheating or Copying Work of Others/Academic Dishonesty Page 83 – Level III Elementary Chart #11 – Added Possessing ammunition, including paintballs Page 84, 89, 94 – Level III Charts Elementary, Middle, and High – Added “serious” to Level III charts to read “Serious and/or persistent misconduct at Level III may result in placement in a Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP).”

Code of Conduct Committee Updates Page 83-84 – Level III Elementary Chart-Discipline Options – Added “Parent Conference” Discipline Option on Level III Elementary Chart Page 89 and 94 – Level III Middle #31 and High #30 – Added wording to include herbal/dietary/nutritional aids or supplements not FDA approved on Level II Elementary and Level III Secondary concerning possessing a current prescription or non-prescription drug or substance Page 93 – Level III High #12 – Removed specification of “…via the District’s computer system” concerning pornographic or sexually-oriented material and/or accessing pornography to be more inclusive to any electronic device

Code of Conduct Committee Updates Page 101 – ISS Restrictions/Prohibitions – Reworded this section to be calendar day instead, clarified the prohibition of on-site participation for any school-sponsored or school-related activities, and removed the special permission wording to limit requests for such allowances. Page 102 – OSS Restrictions/Prohibitions, Page 107 – DAEP Restrictions/Prohibitions, and Page 112 – JJAEP Restrictions/Prohibitions – Removed the special permission wording to limit requests for such allowances. Page 113 – Expulsion-District Level Appeal of Expulsion – Update of Executive Director of Secondary Education to Logan Faris, Ed. D
