  1. Silk screen vs DTG vs Embroidery vs Heat transfers: Which is the best technique? To get the best quality prints, you need to understand the different methods of printing of t-shirt in Singapore, how they work, what kind of designs they produce, and the cost of these methods. Here are some of the best t-shirt printing methods with their complete process. 1.Silkscreen–Silkscreen printing is a method that involves ink through stencils that are supported by a porous fabric mesh stretched across a frame called a screen. It is best for logos, phrases, linear images, simple designs, and mass print productions without customization. The print process begins with your design printed on a piece of transparency placed over a silkscreen mesh, which is coated with a light-sensitive emulsion. After putting it to UV light, the emulsion will wash off where your design had blocked the light out, and harden where the light could pass through, which hen leaves a stencil of your design. After that, ink is pressed through the screen on your t-shirt. 2.Embroidery –Embroidery printing is best if you are planning a design for your company or event or adding a logo on your team’s cap. Embroidery starts with threading that stands out as a quality type of print. The Machines do the mass-

  2. produced embroidery. They require a high-quality design file formatted in vectors made into a stitch file, with its stitch sequence plotted out and readable by the machine. However, it is not suitable for printing complex and colorful designs. Each embroidery print takes some amount of time, and it did not become cheap with bulk orders. 3.Dye sublimation – In sublimation printing of the t-shirt in Singapore, the printing ink is sublimated into the fabric at high temperatures. It is different from the silkscreen and embroidery and other printing techniques. It is best for printing photographs, complex images, designs with prints in different positions. It also takes a long time to print on a t-shirt. Sublimation is the process of heating a particular type of ink that turns into a gas at high temperatures. This ink can form a chemical bond with polyester and acrylic, creating a permanent print that is part of the fabric rather than on the fabric. The fabric on the printed surface has to be made of at least 50% polyester. It also has to be done on white fabric. 4.Vinyl printing – Vinyl printing is the best option if you are looking to produce bold and colorful graphics on your group’s matching tee. As it offers a large range of colors, it is best for school sports attire, company tee, or simply just a fashion statement for yourself. The design is printed onto vinyl, cut out, and transferred to a transfer paper before it is pressed. 5.DTG Printing/heat press – DTG printing is best for photographs, complex graphic images, and colorful designs with gradients. In DTG printing, the designs can be printed on white shirts directly. Pre-treatment of the fabric is required for non-white shirts, which allows a base of white ink to stay on the surface of the fabric, after which the colored design can be printed. In the digital print process, a mirror image of the design is printed on heat transfer paper using a unique ink that transfers onto fabric after being pressed by a heat transfer printing machine. It also has some disadvantages, as the printer can print only one surface at a time, on a specific position of the shirt, rather than in different positions. The print can also be faded after multiple washes.
