  2. History • Founded in 1962 by local parents • Served 8 people in a small converted store • Today, Quest makes a difference in the lives of more than 1,100 people in Central Florida each day

  6. Quest Residential • Housing options in the Orlando and Tampa areas: • Group homes in residential communities • Services to meet the needs of each resident • Includes extensive support system • Transportation provided • 24-hour skilled nursing care • Focus on independence and skill training

QuestRecreational - Camp Thunderbird • Providing a real summer camp experience for people with disabilities since 1969 • More than 350 campers attend each summer • Activities include camping, fishing, swimming, canoeing, arts & crafts, sports & games and more • Gives families a break from 24-hour care giving • Accredited by American Camp Association

Quest Employment Services • Services included vocational evaluation, pre employment training, job development, training on the job and transportation training • 64 Individuals placed in community employment in the last year • 41 Individuals received continuing support on the job through follow along services • Provide Transitional Services from school to work through Project SEARCH

  12. Employment data • As of 2011, 17.8% of persons with disabilities are reported as being employed while 63.6% without disabilities are employed. (Bureau of Labor Statistics) • People with disabilities represent the single largest and most diverse minority in the United States. One in five Americans has a disability. 29% of all families have at least one member with a disability. (U.S. Census Bureau)
