National Partners • Warmia and Mazury Vocational Training Centre in Olsztyn – DP’s Leader • W-M ZDZ has been established in 1992 as an autonomous non-profit educational association. • The objective of the Centre is to provide continuous education for adults and youth. • The educational centres of W-M ZDZ are located in 12 different towns in the region. • 50 full-time employees. • ISO 9001:2000 certificate.

National Partners • Olsztyn Chamber of Construction Industry • OIB is a branch association of the building industry corporations (construction and designingcompanies, sellers of building materials, building staff educational centres, etc.) from the Olsztyn region. • It was established in 1994. • About 60 members, mostly SMEs.

National Partners • State Agricultural Property Agency branch in Olsztyn • Entity authorized by the State Treasury to perform ownership rights in state agriculture with obligation of taking over the property of liquidated state-owned farms. • Fighting against unemployment among the workers of former state-owned farms. • 11 regional branches all over Poland.

National Partners • Polish Corporation of Sanitary, Heating and Gas Installation Companies • Branch association established in 1992. • Members include installation companies from small workshops through medium-size enterprises to big corporations. • Total number of members – about 1 500. • 13 local branches all over Poland.

  7. DP’s characteristics • Type: sectoral – building industry • Realisation – till December 2007 • (Action 3 – till March 2008) • Total budget: 1.5 mln eur

  8. Aims of the Partnership • Elaborate and implement new mechanisms for supporting and keeping employment by construction and installation industry workers. • Facilitate the use of new technologies and innovative pre-ecological solutions in small and medium-sized enterprises.

  9. Main activities • Implementation of job-rotation system; • Support for women in the experiment on conciliation of family life and work; • Elaborating and implementing model of common training fund in construction industry; • Testing of professional qualifications recognition system; • Adaptation of new pedagogical methods for training construction staff, incl. e-learning; • Trainings on human resources development in building companies.

  10. Main activities • Creating the centre of sophisticated software supporting work of building industry employees; • Trainings on modern computer programmes designed for construction industry; • Pilot implementation of 3 innovative pro-ecological technologies and elaborating on this basis vademecum for entrepreneurs interested in including those solutions in their business offer; • Seminars promoting innovations and new approaches in building industry.

  14. Action 2 in numbers • 663 final beneficiaries; • from 90 small and medium sized companies; • 16 conferences and seminars; • 7 publications; • total 1869 training hours; • 8 foreign study visits.
