  1. TEMPLES TO BE VISITED IN KERALA In Kerala there are temples all over the place. Keralites are religious mostly, and for all Hindus a visit to a temple at least on certain occasions is a must. The  architecture  of  Kerala  temples  upholds  certain  traditions  which are different.  Here are a few famous temples in Kerala 1. ATTUKAL BHAGAVATHY TEMPLE: It is dedicated to Devi Parvathy. The temple is renowned for the annual Attukal Pongala festival in which over a million women participate. Lot of women gathers every year in the month of Kumbham around this temple and they prepare Pongala in small pots for goddess Kannaki. Pongala is a ritualistic offering of a sweet dish to the goddess. 2. SHREE PADMANABHASWAMY TEMPLE: This is a great temple of god Vishnu. It is situated in Trivandrum. The idol of Vishnu is seen reclining on Anantha, the serpent. It is a rare combination which is not very common. The biggest festival in this temple is Laksha Deepam, which means lighting hundred thousand lamps. This festival is celebrated once in 6 years.  3. GURUVAYOOR SRIKRISHNA TEMPLE: The temple is mostly crowded as it is very famous. There are many legends associated with the temple as it is an ancient temple. Even many various festivals are held over here. Krishnanattam is a dance drama related to
