  2. Introduction Travelling to places within the country gives so much enjoyment. Travelling abroad just doubles the excitement. Today, not only do people travel for relaxation and fun but also for spiritual rejuvenation. There are a lot of places in the world that offers healing for the self when you visit or spend some time there.

An Overview of Medina One of the holiest places in Islam and the capital city of Saudi Arabia’s Medina region, the city of Medina houses several sites and landmarks that are mostly mosques and hold extreme historic significance. Masjid al-Fath, the Seven Mosques, and the Baqi' Cemetery are the three most famous mosques that Medina houses. Other than these, the Uhud Mountain that is located to the southeast of the Prophet’s Mosque where the Battle of Uhud was fought is also located in the city.

  4. The History of Medina Medina has a population of 1,488,782, which makes it the fourth most populous city in Saudi Arabia. For those who have and interest in history, apart from the Battle of Uhud, the Battle of Trench was also fought under Abu Sufyan and one of the three mosques at the Seven Mosque site was the battlefield.
