  2. WELCOME TO CAMPING ON THE RIVER!!! We are close to just about everything that is nice about the eastern edge of the Sierra’s. Early settlers referred to this spot as the “Big Bend in the Truckee River” as the river comes due east from Reno and heads due north from here to Pyramid Lake.
