  11. Transnationalism

  12. Nature of Religions • Some religions are familial (Shintoism); some are local and tribal (Polytheism, Animism) • Some religions are regional (Buddhism, Hinduism, Confucianism) • Three are global – Transnational • Christianity – Freedom – Kingdom of God (spread by love/service/persuasion) • Islam – Global Caliphate (Jihadist – spread by the sword) • Atheism – “One world government” (spread by coercion / intimidation)

  13. From Many Nations-One Kingdom And they sang a new song: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.” Revelation 5: 9-10

  14. The Kingdom of God “[The Kingdom of God] is the most radical proposal ever proposed to the mind and allegiance of man…. It gathers up everything good in any system of thought and every religion everywhere, fulfills the good, cleanses the evil an goes beyond anything ever thought or dreamed anywhere.” E. Stanley Jones The Unshakable Kingdom and the Unchanging Person

  15. Goal of the Three Transnational Ideologies • Christianity – Unity of Diversity – Many tribes, ethnic groups and nations and one Kingdom • Islam – Uniformity (unity without diversity) • Atheism – Uniformity (unity without diversity)

  16. USA – Based on an Idea Freedom

  17. Question • Reflect on Emma Lazarus’s poem and the Statue of Liberty. • What do they tell you about the idea of FREEDOM that America was founded upon?

  18. FREEDOM “Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, …” Emma Lazarus

  19. The New Colossus Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame, With conquering limbs astride from land to land; Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame. "Keep ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

  20. Ummah The Community of Muslims

  21. Ummah • Arabic word: Community or Nation • Means: • The “community of believers” • The global Muslim community • The true community of Islam • Stands in contrast to: • All non-Muslims • All non-Muslim nations • Goal of Islam is an Ummah without frontiers

  22. Caliphate The Governance of the Islamic World

  23. Historic Islamic Caliphates

  24. 57 Islamic States

  25. The Global Caliphate “The Sheikh's life revolved around a single goal, namely the establishment of Allah's rule on earth, this being the clear responsibility of each and every Muslim. So in order to accomplish his life's noble mission of restoring the Khalifah, the Sheikh focused on Jihad (the armed struggle to establish Islam).” Abdullah Azzam

  26. Absolute Power “The Caliphate wasn’t just an office to interpret holy texts but it was also a real Governance and power position; the equivalent to the Papacy and Emperor rolled into one.” Dr. Walid Phares, Senior Fellow Foundation for the Defense of Democracies

  27. Dawa The Mission of Islam

  28. Freedom Go To Hell!

  29. The Dawa • Restore all the lands that were historically part of earlier Caliphates • Eliminate the State of Israel • Expand the Caliphate to include the 57 current Islamic states • Save the world from Western moral and spiritual bankruptcy • Finish the mandate – Global Caliphate

  30. The Mission – Dawa –Establish a Global Caliphate ‘The “Caliphate” epitomizes all that the Jihadists are preparing for, working towards, and killing for. This word IS at the center of the War with Terrorism – it is not an obscure academic word…. The bringing back of the “Caliphate” is the chief reason why Osama bin Laden, Ayman Zawahiri, Zarqawi, … have declared and waged a war against the people of the United States.’ Dr. Walid Phares, Senior Fellow
