  2. 1. Luther Monument This monument dedicated to the reformer Martin Luther. The monument created by the sculpturer Adolf von Donndorf in the 19th Century and cast in the famous Dresden foundry Bierling. This monument consists of a group of bronze statues on stone plinths centred on a statue of Luther, surrounded by statues of related individuals and allegorical statues representing related towns. 2. Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe

Completed on December 15, 2004, the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe was built in remembrance of the six million Jews killed during the Holocaust. It includes an underground information center that documents the fate of individuals and families. 3. Karl Marx Monument Karl Marx Monument is a historical monument in Germany. In 1953, East Germany renamed Karl Marx City. In 1971, 250,000 people watched as a more than seven-meter-tall stylized bronze Marx bust was erected in the center of the city. The inscription on the wall behind the bust reads, Workers of the World, Unite in four languages. 4. Buchenwald Memorial

  4. Buchenwald concentration camp was built in July 1937 near Weimar, in central Germany. More than 56,000 died there as the result of torture, medical experiments and consumption. With different exhibitions, an archive and a library, the Buchenwald Memorial is the largest German concentration camp memorial. It also invites visitors to reflect on the extent of the crimes committed.
