  2. Honey Baked Ham • Honey Baked Ham was first produced in 1957. • Harry J. Hoenselar invented and patented a machine that slices a ham in a spiral.

  3. Growth of Company The company started with one worker and grew to many employees.

  4. Products • Their products are: beef, BBQ , pork, turkey , ham and some new foods were added to the restaurant. They just had ham in the beginning. • In 1974 the founder, Harry J. Hoenselar died.

  5. Impact on Michigan • There are over 4,000 employees for this company . • They donate to the United Way, they offer boxed lunches and donate 1 dollar for each boxed lunch. • The company has impacted Michigan by creating jobs • These jobs help the economy by allowing people to spend money.

  6. Interesting facts • Harry invented a spiral ham slicer. • Honey Baked buys premium hams from Morell; then smokes and glazes at the stores.
