  2. 1. Introduction of Macao • Macao is a small town at the west side of the entrance of Pearl River in the south China and near Hong Kong. • The area of Macao is around 27 square Kilometer. • The population is around 0.45 Million

  3. 2. IEEE Macao Section • IEEE Macao Section is a young section established in Feb. 2004 • IEEE Macao Section is a small section with 92 members in 2005 • IEEE Macao Section is an active section.

  4. 3. Academic Activities in 2005 • IPv6 Seminar • The 9th International Symposium on consumer Electronics (ICSE2005) • The 2005 IEEE International Conference on Robotics & Biomimetics • Regional Inter-University Postgraduate Electrical and Electronic Engineering Conference 2005

  5. 5. The 13th Pacific Conference on Computer Graphics and Applications (Pacific Graphics 2005) • The 4th International Conference on Wavelet Analysis and its Applications (WAA 2005) • Other 2 conferences organized by CAS/COM Chapter.

  6. To organize activities with Universities, such as: University of Macao (UMAC) Macao University of Science and Technology (MUST) • To organize activities with companies, for instance, the 3G Seminar in March 2006 was organized collaboratively with CTM, ERICSSION, ZTE, HUAWEI, NOKIA and etc.
