  3. Food Hedgehogs like to eat meat. They like to eat the following: Bugs Frogs Snails Crickets Mealworms Fruit

  4. Protection and appearance When hedgehogs get scared they protect themselves by rolling up into a ball, from which their little spikes stand out. Hedgehogs have sharp, narrow snouts, small eyes, and short, little legs. They have smooth quills all over their backs. Their legs, tail, and belly are covered with fur. At birth they are born with soft quills and within 3 hoursthey get hard and sharp.
