The Effects of Digital Communication on Motivating Third-Grade Writing

This study explores the impact of digital communication methods, such as email, social networking, blogging, and text messaging, on motivating 3rd grade students to write. The research aims to implement a technology-integrated unit plan to address low student motivation for writing, with desired results including increased motivation levels and improved satisfaction. The study involves 61 third-grade students and 2 teachers, as well as pen pals from a neighboring school.
