  1. Welcome To The Post Pandemic Family Entertainment Park – Torq03 Throughout the world, the COVID-19 pandemic brought many businesses to a halt. Lockdowns, quarantines, and social distancing requirements effectively made it impossible to continue. This included all types of crowded entertainment venues such as concerts, sporting events, and more. And among these were entertainment venues where lakhs of recreation seekers routinely visit on an annual basis. But as businesses begin to reopen, many of these theme venues are closed as some of them have shut shop and others wait for a green signal from the Government. But without question, the experience will not be quite the same. To start, many changes will be clearly visible to the guest. Health guidelines internationally and even state-to-state in India may vary. However, common Covid-19 measures have included 6- foot social distancing, the use of face masks, cleaning surfaces more often and checking people’s temperatures before admitting them to certain locations.

  2. Many of these measures will be obvious to visitors. Venues are going to want guests to feel comfortable during their stay, so companies are going to go out of their way to show that areas are being cleaned regularly and will post plenty of signage for social distancing and sanitation stations. Perception is going to be key for businesses in gaining trust with parkgoers.

  3. Occupancy caps at other venues will be dependent on government guidelines. Guests who are permitted inside will have to purchase their tickets in advance, as establishments are going to want to carefully control crowds. This will also remove the physical interaction of an employee handing out tickets to guests and guests handing tickets to other employees in order to enter the park. Similarly, many venues will offer cashless pay options, if those systems are not already in place, to help reduce the use of cash and physical touch between employees and guests. Like many retail locations currently in operation across the globe, venues could use plexiglass barriers between cashiers and customers as an added safety measure. Entertainment trends come and go, but those associated with the pandemic may be more lasting. On the one hand, entertainment venues want to protect both their patrons and staff from exposure to the deadly coronavirus. But at the same time, they also want to encourage attendance. Like many other industries across the nation, theme venues are struggling to find the right recipe for success. And some of the more major ones offer a glimpse at what we can expect in the months to come.

  4. Over the last many years, entertainment trends have seen many companies adopt subscription models. Subscriptions ensure steady revenue streams, which are more predictable and allow better future planning. For entertainment venues, season passes offer a similar financial framework where loyal patrons purchase season passes year after year. But with all the uncertainties surrounding theme venues and the pandemic, it’s unclear if these entertainment trends will continue. This is a major concern for many of the entertainment venues currently in operation or waiting to resume operations. Most entertainment venues are trying to sweeten the deal by extending the use dates of their existing season passes. But until theme venues reopen and the next season arrives, it remains unclear how many will choose to repurchase again. But this could represent a serious drop in revenues for these corporations. Because season passes breed loyalty and repeat customers, many entertainment venues may begin offering season passes at lower rates. Entertainment venues hope this will be enough to weather the current pandemic storm.

  5. Understanding these risks, most entertainment venues due to substantial loss in revenues have trimmed down their workforce. But even so, most entertainment venues are positioned to survive at least through the end of 2020. The bigger question involves whether patrons will resume prior levels of attendance thereafter. If you’re one who is willing to embrace the new normal by keeping up with the entertainment as well as keep it safe, Torq03 is where you can arrange for some fun-time for your little ones.
