  1. Template Guidelines • This presentation is to be used as a template to create your LDRD presentation. • The presentation and question/answer period are limited to 25 minutes. Ensure your presentation fits the time frame and allows sufficient time for panel Q&A.

SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory • Overview: • Goals of proposed project • Note that there is a range of expertise on the review panel, don’t assume everyone is an expert in your technology. • Relation to SLAC Strategic Plan • How proposal meets the DOE LDRD program objectives including innovative scientific and technological excellence • How different is this from other work in the field? How does it push the state of the art? (use as many slides as necessary)

  4. Project Description • Describe the project – scientific or technological concepts. • Describe the research approach/method. • Describe any risks or challenges and your assessment/mitigation to them. (use as many slides as necessary)

  5. Anticipated Outcomes/Results • Provide a brief description of the proposed outcomes and results of the project. (use as many slides as necessary) Sample images

  6. Future Funding Opportunities • Identify future funding opportunities derived from this science or technology • Be specific in terms of what you would expect for – funding agency, targeted program area, and why you think this is the right fit

  7. Budget Brief • Percent of lead scientist’s salary • Number of postdocs/staff • % of funding for salary • % of funding for M&S, travel • FY15 funding request • FY16 funding request, if needed • Total program request
