  6. GB composition • The non acceptation of most of our consortia make the composition difficult • to define while preserving a fair representation of the activity/partner. • GB is composed of • Each of the 37 beneficiaries • Each of the 13 “New” associates • But in this scheme INFN (12 labs), CNRS (9 labs) and CSIC (3) labs have • only one voting right. • For CNRS and CSIC a defined breakdown of their activities is existing while not for INFN. Proposition is : • - CSIC : one voting right per Institute  3 • INFN : One national representative + one per main activity where INFN is • involved  6 • - CNRS : one per Institute  9 • or one national representative + one per main activity where CNRS • is involved  6 (My preferred option) •  Will need a modification to AIDA consortium agreement document L. Serin LAL/IN2P3 AIDA kick off meeting

  7. GB composition CNRS option 1 L. Serin LAL/IN2P3 AIDA kick off meeting

  8. GB composition CNRS option 2 L. Serin LAL/IN2P3 AIDA kick off meeting

  9. GB composition L. Serin LAL/IN2P3 AIDA kick off meeting

  10. GB composition L. Serin LAL/IN2P3 AIDA kick off meeting

  11. Chairperson of GB • Elected for two years • Member of AIDA steering group (ex officio) • Had to prepare the decisions to be taken during the GB meetings with AIDA Management and chair the GB meeting Candidate : Ivan Vila (CSIC/Spain) L. Serin LAL/IN2P3 AIDA kick off meeting

  12. Advisory Committee Proposed composition to endorse: - P. Jenni (CERN ) - G. Hall (Imperial College) - M. Danilov (ITEP Moscow) - J. Jarros (SLAC / ILC) - A. Bross (Fermilab / Neutrino) Add one additional member if some fields not well covered ? L. Serin LAL/IN2P3 AIDA kick off meeting

  13. WP4 leader Steinar Stapnes now busy by new CERN position. Propose J.M Le Goff (CERN) as new WP4 leader. Was already collaborating with Steinar during proposal submission Steinar will still try to follow WP4 over the first year L. Serin LAL/IN2P3 AIDA kick off meeting

  14. 2012 Annual Meeting Will be one of the first task of the GB chairperson ! Should be held between Feb 1st and ~Mid April 2012 - Should avoid main LHC/LC events - February already known to be quite difficult for some of the Advisory Committee members… • March : Winter HEP conferences … - Might be associated with a WP4 workshop Suggest that volunteer institutes to organize this meeting send a proposal to GB chairman and myself with a few different possible dates + other usual informations by March 11th.  Organize a GB electronic vote for decision. L. Serin LAL/IN2P3 AIDA kick off meeting

  15. Acknowledgments Without the very efficient team here at CERN to help the management team, this project will have never submitted, accepted, modified, re-submitted …. in time Many thanks to Marie-Laure Bourgeois Schutz, Catherine Brandt, Kate Kahle and Naomi Wyles Was a success up to now with the kick-off meeting ! I am sure we will continue on the same way with the constructive help of every AIDA member in the next high pressure period of reporting. L. Serin LAL/IN2P3 AIDA kick off meeting
