  3. GRBOI The Goals of this meeting are to inform the citizens of the Grand River Bands of Ottawa Indians about their tribe, its current leaders, the future of our people, and to formulate goals, and decide what is best for all of us. Your input is essential to our mutual success.

  4. GRBOI Do you know the current GRBOI, Inc. council: Ron Yob- Self declared tribal leader of the Grand River Bands of Ottawa Indians, Inc. directorship. Joseph Genia- Co-chairman appointed by Ron Yob, previously enrolled in at least two other Federally recognized tribes and therefore is not eligible to receive benefits that might be entitled for GRBOI members; We would like proof of resignation from Grand Traverse and Sisseton Wahpeton Sioux Tribes, and proof of Grand River lineage. Francis Compo- Tribal secretary, has failed to furnish records or minutes to meetings of the tribal council to the membership at large or to individual members upon request, in violation of Sec. 485 of Act 162 of 1982; Patricia Beatty- Treasurer appointed by Ron Yob. Has refused to disclose any of the tribe’s finances to the membership, in violation of Sec. 485 of Act 162 of 1982; Kelly Wiisaw- Ron Yob’s cousin, also appointed as tribal enrollment officer by Ron Yob. Pat Wilson- Appointed by Ron Yob after talking at a pow-wow.
