  3. CABIN BAGGAGE Air China Airlines Flights specifies the maximum dimensions and weight of carry-on baggage that can be taken into the cabin. The baggage information as per various classes is defined below.

CABIN BAGGAGE • First Class/Business Class – A passenger can carry 2 pieces of carry-on baggage, each weighing no more than 8 kilos (17 lbs.). • Economy Class – A passenger can carry up to 1 piece of carry-on baggage that weighs no more than 5 kilos (11 lbs.). • The dimensions of each piece of carry-on baggage shall not exceed 55 centimeters in length, 40 centimeters in width and 20 centimeters in height. Please ensure that the carry-on baggage you choose can be stowed in the closed overhead compartment or fit under the seat in front of you when you are onboard the aircraft. Any baggage that cannot be packed in the overhead compartment or fit under the seat, or a baggage that is overweight or oversized, will be carried as checked baggage.

Standard baggage: • The total dimensions (length + width + height) of each piece, should not exceed 158 cm (62 in, including wheels and handles) and should not be less than 60 cm (24 in). • The total dimensions (length + width + height) of each piece of baggage should not exceed 203 cm (80 in, including wheels and handles) and should be more than 158 cm (62 in). It is mandatory to pay excess baggage fees.

Weight • Luxury First Class -The weight of each piece should not be more than 32 kg (70 lb) or less than 2 kg (4 lb). • First Class- The weight of each piece should not be more than 32 kg (70 lb) or less than 2 kg (4 lb). • Business Class-The weight of each piece should not be more than 32 kg (70 lb) or less than 2 kg (4 lb). • Premium Economy Class-The weight of each piece should not be more than 23 kg (50 lb) or less than 2 kg (4 lb). • Super Economy Class-The weight of each piece should not be more than 23 kg (50 lb) or less than 2 kg (4 lb). • Economy Class- The weight of each piece should not be more than 23 kg (50 lb) or less than 2 kg (4 lb). You need to pay extra fee for each piece of baggage with the weight of more than 23 kg (50 lb), yet no more than 32 kg (70 lb). It is mandatory to repack and check in two pieces if any piece of standard baggage weighs more than 32 kg (70 lb)

The number of pieces: When you are traveling on Air China Tickets there is no limitation on baggage quantities (including standard and special baggage) It is mandatory for a passenger to apply to the ticket office (airports) for transporting the seventh and more additional pieces which exceed the limits of the free checked baggage allowance and the Phoenix Miles allowance.
