  2. INTERESTING FACTS CONCERNING THE YEAR OF JUBILEE. On the 1st Jubilee the people of God entered the promised land 1367 BC. Jesus Christ began His ministry on the 55th Jubilee. The Liberty Bell has inscribed on it Lev. 25:10 “Proclaim liberty throughout the land unto all the inhabitants thereof.” Israel gained possession of Jerusalem on the 69th Jubilee 1966.

  3. Benefits of the Year of Jubilee • Unprecedented Favor From God. • A Release from Debt. • Lost Property is returned. • It is a time of Rest. • It is a time of Harvesting what we did not plant.

WHATS SO IMPORTANT ABOUT THE NUMBER • SABBATH REST: Gen. 2:2-3On the 7th day God had finished his work of creation, so he rested from all his work. 3 And God blessed the 7th day and declared it holy, • Sabbatical year rest. Deut. 15:1-15 At the end of every 7th year you must cancel the debts of everyone who owes you money.

JUBILLE REST: Lev. 25: 8 “In addition, you must count off seven Sabbath years, seven sets of seven years, adding up to forty-nine years in all. 9 Then on the Day of Atonement in the fiftieth year,[a] blow the ram’s horn loud and long throughout the land. Note: This is the 70th Jubilee • millennialREST: Rev. 20: 6Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. For them the second death holds no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him a thousand years.

  6. Jesus begins His ministry on the year of Jubilee, by reading Isaiah’s proclamations of Jubilee. 17 The scroll of Isaiah the prophet was handed to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where this was written: 18“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, 19and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come.” Luke 4:17-19 (NLT)
