  2. Learn About Chinese Landmarks By Arielle Emery and Amanda Silberstein Have you ever wondered about Chinese landmarks? Well we will teach you about them. Stretching many miles across the world is the Great Wall of China/ The Ming Wall. Protecting the Emperor is The Forbidden City/ The Palace Museum. So are you ready to learn more?

  3. The Great Wall WondersBy Amanda Silberstein Have you ever gone to China and seen the Great Wall? Well, if you have not reading this will be almost like seeing it! The Great Wall is 4,00 miles long now. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and one of the most popular tourist attractions in the world. But until the 1450s nobody was sure of the Great Wall’s size! Some parts of the great wall are in ruins or have disappeared altogether!

  4. Great Wall Wonders Chapter 2 At one point, there were: guard stations, signal towers, and even ornate temples were located along the great walls course. The Great Wall of China was built sometime B.C. but nobody knows exactly when it was made because people kept adding to it. It used to be used as a wall to keep out people who did not belong in China, but now it is just like I said before a popular tourist attraction. At one point, The Great Wall of China was 3,923 miles long. That is 6,314 kilometers. That is really long! The Great Wall is the biggest thing ever made by men. At another point The Great Wall’s wingspan was 4,160, miles or 6,314 kilometers. So no more wondering about the Great Wall for you, huh?

  5. The Forbidden City! Arielle Sophia Emery One amazing palace in China is the Forbidden City or, GuGongin Chinese. It has a yellow roof with glazed tiles that look like gold. Yellow is a special color for royalty. Also called the Palace Museum, the Forbidden City has a lot of red, a color of luck. Ever since July 2nd, (2011) the north gate in the Forbidden City is closed. Now, you can only enter through the Meridian (south) gate. People can only exit through the Gate of Divine Might.
