  1. AcademicIntervention Services Reading and Writing: Mrs. Costello & Mrs. Flaherty Mrs. Tait Math: Mrs. Byrns Mrs. Geraci & Mr. Manke ESL: Ms. Demianczyk

  2. How do we work with your child? • Academic Intervention teachers may push into the classroom and work with students. • During push in situations, the Academic Intervention Teachers support the lessons being taught by the classroom teacher.

  3. Within the classroom setting, the AIS teacher may work with students individually or with small groups.

  4. Academic Intervention Services are also provided in a pull-out setting. In this situation, small groups of children come to the AIS teacher and receive instruction away from the regular classroom.

  5. Each child approaches reading, writing, and math in a unique way. Sometimes the AIS teacher works individually with the child to determine their strengths and weaknesses.

  6. When the AIS teacher moves into the classroom, it allows the classroom teacher to work more closely with individual students.

  7. Our students benefit when home and school work together to give them the support they need.

  8. The most important point to make with your child is that school is important. Our continued connection sends this message to your child. We look forward to seeing you during the school year, whether at a parent conference or a school event.

  9. Let’s provide our students with the “Tools” they need to succeed!
