  2. Team Work Skills

  3. Situation (S) • While working at Jcrew I had to stay over night and open boxes full of clothing and accessories to be ready to go on the floor by the morning (had 8 hours to do this)

  4. Action (A) • Work efficiently in teams to move as fast as we could to get the product ready for the opening • We gave each member of the team a different task so the process would be faster and go more smoothly

  5. Results (R) • We got the product on the floor by morning and organized the store to make everything flow better to have greater sales

  6. Problem-Solving Skills

  7. Situation (S) • While working at Bayview Glen summer camp as a consular, I had to take care of a very shy child that was too quiet to participle in any activity

  8. Action (A) • Everyday I would slowly do something that would help this child be more comfortable being around the other children in their cabin • I would make everyone play simple games such as, everyone would have to go around in a circle and say their favourite colour and if someone had the same favourite colour they would have to sit beside each other and become friends • Since they were so young it was easy for them to make friends and it wasn’t hard for them to do

  9. Results (R) • By the end of the summer this child became friends with everyone and talked a lot more • The child parents were very pleased and were so happy to see how much their child loved camp

  10. Leadership Skills

  11. Situation (S) • While working at LF Optical I was left in the store by myself for a couple of hours so I had to manage everything myself

  12. Action (A) • I made a list of everything that had to be done • Did the most important things first and made sure I got everything done • Multitasked, helping customers and also making sure the business was running perfectly

  13. Results (R) • Everything went smoothly • My boss was very impressed with my ability to take on the responsibility of being in charge of the store all by myself
