  3. The Bulldog • Origin – England • Use – Bull baiting, war dog, guard dog, police dog • Facts – Dignified, loyal, reserved, may have problems at birth because of the oversized head

  4. The Dalmation • Origin – Debatable, but probably Dalmatia, Yugoslavia • Use – War dog, draft dog, herd dog, hunting, coach dog • Facts – Noted for intelligence, loyal, natural guardians

  5. The Lhasa Apso • Origin – Tibet • Use – Guard dog • Facts – Intelligent, excellent hearing, good at detecting friends from strangers, obedient, affectionate, need lots of attention
