Jay Sawyer of Chester Dr. In Glenview, IL Talks About the Future of Pilot Less Planes

In addition to being a respected animal rights activist and environmentalist, Jay Sawyer of Chester Dr. in Glenview, IL is an aviation buff too. One of the topics related to aviation that have his attention is the future of pilot less planes. Jay Sawyer cites references from Airbus' interview with The Associated Press in which the company revealed its aim of selling hybrid as well as electric passenger jets by around 2035. In the interview, Scherer also said that the Airbus already has "the technology for autonomous flying" and for planes flown by just one pilot. He further stated, 'This is not a matter of technology - it's a matter of interaction with the regulators, the perception in the traveling public'. If Jay Sawyer is to be believed, he thinks that we are still far from ready to churn out battery operated jumbo jets.

One of the topics related to aviation that have his attention is the future of pilot less planes. What drew his attention towards this was an article that stated how Airbus claimed to have the technology of flying passenger planes without pilots at all already. The report further stated that the company is working aggressively towards winning over regulators and travelers to the idea. Jay Sawyercites references from Airbus’ interview with The Associated Press in which the company revealed its aim of selling hybrid as well as electric passenger jets by around 2035. In the interview, Scherer also said that the Airbus already has “the technology for autonomous flying” and for planes flown by just one pilot. He further stated, ‘This is not a matter of technology –it’s a matter of interaction with the regulators, the perception in the traveling public’. If Jay Sawyer of Chester Dr. is to be believed, he thinks that we are still far from ready to churn out battery operated jumbo jets. When asked

  2. about when is the right time to introduce large commercial aircrafts, Jay responded that it was a matter that was being discussed with regulators and customers but technology wise there are no hurdles as such. No matter how busy his schedule is, Jay never fails to take time out for jogging and walking. He is quite fond of these physical activities as he has observed that people who regularly do these usually have healthier hearts, stronger bones, and lower body weights than their sedentary counterparts. He keeps expressing his views on various matters of social benefit on a regular basis.
