  6. Visual Resources Plan for 2007: Conduct a province wide Effectiveness Evaluation to establish a benchmark regarding the success of managing visuals under the Code. A follow up EE would be completed in 2009 to determine the effectiveness of managing visuals under FRPA. 6

  7. Terrace Prince George Williams Lake Kamloops Campbell River Nelson Abbotsford Victoria Visual Resources Plan for 2007: Sample Size 6 Districts (2 per Region) 20 samples per district. 120 samples x 2 views = 240 samples 7

  8. Visual Resources • Plan for 2007: • How will the evaluation be carried out? • Two options: • We train district staff and they do sampling with assistance of Regional staff and/or a contractor. • We hire a knowledgeable visual contractor to carryout sampling. This limits district workload to pulling VIA’s and SP’s and participating on a voluntary basis. 8

  9. Visual Resources Plan for 2007: Option 1: Would require upwards of 10 days of district staff time. 2 days for training 5 days for data collection 2 days for data collation and debriefing Option 2 Would require 2-3 days of district staff time. 1 day preparation 2 days sampling 9

  10. Visual Resources Questions for Group: Who would be interested in participating? Which option would work best? 10
