  3. Eye Color Intensity of cat depends on melanocyte activity Melanocytes produce the pigment called melanin. It plays an important role in determining the darkness of cat's eye

  4. Purebred cats usually have more intense eye colors Purebred cats are bred to meet a specific breed standard, which includes eye color, breeders select for cats that have more intense colors or particular colors

  5. Blue-eyed cats lack melanin in their irises Blue eyed cats don't have melanin in their iris. It looks blue because of their round shaped eye, light refracts through it and produces the blue color in cats eye.No doubt cats have amazing eye color facts.
