Enhancing Rural Policy Integration for Sustainable Development

This initiative addresses challenges such as marked differentiation among actors and poor integration of interventions in rural policies. It emphasizes the need to consider the long term and the growing influence of operational strategic committees (OSCs) in shaping rural development. The project focuses on enhancing synergy at strategic, tactical, and political levels. It involves utilizing negotiation capacity, power relationships, and mediation to create a network for improved rural policy implementation. By incorporating regional integration and empowering farmers' organizations, it aims to add value and knowledge-sharing within the rural development sector. The initiative evaluates institutional positioning and involves key organizations working on rural development themes in West and Central Africa.
