Problem Statement & Theory Used • Provide Freshmen college students as a primary audience (all other college students as a secondary audience) with information to help them recognize the symptoms and affects of stress and offer strategies to prevent and/or reduce stress in their daily lives using the Theory of Reasoned Action and the Extended Parallel Process Model.
Audience Analysis • We did a survey through the Math 101 SI Leaders to take a look at freshman thoughts on stress management and how they deal with stress. • We also looked at statistics done by MTV and the Associated Press of college students.
Other Campaigns • The PT club did a massage a thon for raising money, as well as, decreasing stress • Dr. Kasimatis has been hosting a stress management workshop; 2/25, 2/28, 3/4, & 3/11. • The Learning Commons has a program which students can create workshops that they would like to see on campus, stress management could be one of them.
