Digitally Archiving the Yami Language and Culture

This project focuses on the digital archiving of the Yami language and culture, documenting the unique sacrificial rites and other cultural practices. Led by Dr. Der-Hwa Victoria Rau and Dr. Meng-Chien Yang, it aims to preserve the linguistic heritage through a comprehensive corpus of sound recordings, photos, and academic publications. By creating an accessible database, we hope to support research and raise awareness of the Yami community's cultural richness.
