20. WORDS OF INSPIRATION “Change is always hard but if you really look at it, if we really didn’t like change, we would still be the community where the men worked hard everyday to provide for their homes and the women their families; get together during community gatherings, dances, and traditional ceremonies and shared good times, played sports to grow strength and skills to our youth and always wished well of our neighbors. But, we have accepted change, so as much as we have hoped to resist change, we have resisted nothing…but we can move forward, voice our concerns, and be open to accept the challenge to change, but change for the better….we owe that to our people.”

Chairman, Ak - Chin Indian Community
