  1. Alliances Discovery for … mobilizing the creative energies of people of goodwill around the world, to increase the level of happiness and to find solutions to the great causes of human misery...

  2. Collaborative Innovation (Macro-Innovation) System • Sharply define Core Innovation Challenges (CICs) and Core Discovery Puzzles (CDPs). • Build multi-disciplinary, multi-talented Core Discovery Teams. • Translate (“democratize”) CDPs. • Apply “Discovery Engine.” • Gain leverage through strategic alliances and alliance networks. • Create “Collaborative Innovation Network (COIN). • Optimally mine existing knowledge in all relevant fields through federated contextual search embodied in an “Internet Energy Directory” • Artfully deploy open source and mixed public/ private coalition strategies to optimize incentives for innovation.

  3. Computer-Aided Discovery Breakthrough Discovery Engine and System Computer-Aided Invention/Innovation • Techniques of Semantic Analysis • Patterns of Discovery • Wisdom Expert Systems (Artful Navigator) • Discovery Engineering • Breakthrough Dreaming • Theoretical Framework of Creativity • Translation Engine • Syncetics System • TRIZ 10. Creativity Enhancement Techniques & Methodologies 11. Lead User Methodologies 12. Accelerated Learning: The Einstein Factor 13. Simulated Learning & Gaming 14. Knowledge Management 15. National Inventive Thinking Association Methods Online-Learning

  4. Discovery Engine In order to reach a breakthrough, we will integrateand focus the best : • 1. Existing knowledge of the patterns of scientific discovery( See Robert Root-Bernstein, Discovering 1989) • 2. Advanced techniques of “discovery engineering” andinvention • 3. Existing methods of innovation, which have produced $ millions of new products and services ( See Eric Von Hippel, “Creating Breakthroughs at 3M”, Harvard Business Review September-October1999)

  5. Discovery Engine • 4. Processes for tapping the latent creativity of the mind, tested in 30 years of practice at the Menninger Foundation (“It has gotten me out of my particular cocoon into a mind expanding world of thinking.” Oliver Oldman, Learned Hand Professor, Harvard Law School) • 5. Tested experience in building Breakthrough Discovery Teams (Examples: the Manhattan Project, Lockheed Skunk Works, Walt Disney Troupes, as described in Warren Bemis, “ Organizing Genius”) • 6. Computer-aided invention, data mining and data parsing ( see http://www.invention-machine.com) with advanced systems of e-learning and e-conferencing • 7. The full resources of the Internet

  6. Translation Engine • We will develop a way to “translate” the most complex scientific and other technical issues into terms that any bright person (including school kids) can easily grasp, then translate back their ideas and suggestions, so that the experts can quickly and effectively use them. • We will accomplish this by combining: 1. original research by Julian Gresser in semantics and scientific discovery2. the principles of Professor Steven Kornguth’s successful course, “ Demystifying the Human Brain,” taught at the University of Texas.3. Tested methods of “ Community Learning” developed at Evergreen College4. Best practices of science writers and reporters
