  1. Expectations of Summer Collaboration Days *6 days with own school teams *6 hrs./day - advised to meet one of these days with the grade levels above and below (2nd & 4th) *Must meet at your school (Accountability) *Log sheet (Accountability)

  2. What do you do with your team? • Time • Core • Data • Interventions • Teaching Strategies

  3. Time • Are we using our instructional and learning time efficiently? • Schedules • Literacy Block = 2.5 -3 hours • http://www.alpine.k12.ut.us/phpApps/genericPage.php?pdid=677 • Math Block = 1 hour • Launch (10 -15 min.) • Explore (25 - 30 min.) • Debrief (10 - 15 min.)

  4. Core • What is “guaranteed” non-negotiable? • Must teach all of core. • Core is the bare minimum of what we should be teaching.

  5. Data • How are you going to track student learning? How often are you gathering data?

  6. Are you giving Common Assessments? • If yes, what are the steps you take to make them? • How do you use them?

  7. Formal Informal

  8. Interventions • Who do you do them with? • When do you do them? • What are some interventions you use?

  9. Teaching Strategies • How will you teach it and how will you know if your strategy is effective? • Don’t just assume. Talk about good teaching strategies and how to use them effectively. • Tier 1 lessons should work for at least 80% of your class. • Relate to data. ie:CRTs
